Into The Pool
Sometimes, we are granted a privilege. It doesn't happen often, it's even quite rare, but here, in this project it happened - the renovation of the therapeutic pool complex at Sheba Medical Hospital, The Hydrotherapy Pools. We had the privilege of taking our profession and doing good for people, who were led by less than happy circumstances to use and recover in these pools.
This is the largest therapeutic pool complex in Israel and is used not only for treatments but also as a research and education center in its field. It was built decades ago and has since become obsolete, design-wise, technologically, and functionally. We led the renovation of the complex (with an area of 2400 square meters) in the last year. The renewal of the complex adapted it to the needs and capabilities of the 21st century and allows patients to enjoy a spectrum of treatments, among the most advanced in their field in the world today. In addition to the therapeutic pools, the complex also includes a dedicated rehabilitation gym, physical massage and treatment spaces and a dedicated wing of offices, for the care team.
There are moments when you know that you not only made a living, but that you did more than that, you did well. This project is such a moment.
