16 acres in "Givat Shaul" in Jerusalem. 100,000 sq of building rights. And a direct entrance from the new planned highway to Jerusalem, are a good start for a project. Only then you arrive at the site, become aware of the green mountains around and realizing that this project may steal the neighborhood of its green assets. From the first program meetings we realize that this project will have it all- huge shopping stores on the street floor, a technological college, a convention center and offices.
So we dissolved the mass into smaller parts- Ground floor and over them, floating, the offices buildings. The void between them was designed a green roof which is the main motion axis of the project, allowing the existing buildings behind reserve their glance at the view. The offices areas were also fragmented into 3 spacious compounds, creating open patios between them that also allows the view from neighborhood to the mountains.
